1. Choose Your Knife

Start by choosing the knife style you would like to make. Our traditional Vietnamese knife patterns are inspired by the tools commonly used in everyday life.

2. Forge the Steel

Watch the steel become red-hot in the traditional forge and learn how Vietnamese blacksmiths work with fire, steel and the hammer.

With guidance from my father, you will have the chance to hammer and shape the hot steel yourself.

3. Shape Your Blade

Once the steel has been forged, you will continue shaping your knife and refining its form.

This is where you begin to see a simple piece of steel slowly become a real blade.

4. Grind and Sharpen

Using workshop equipment and traditional techniques, you will grind the blade, refine its shape and begin sharpening it.

Our craftsman will guide you throughout the process so you can safely work on your knife even if you have never tried blacksmithing before.

5. Finish Your Knife

The final stage is about refining and finishing your handmade knife.

Then comes the best moment of the experience:

You take home the knife you made yourself.
